If you’ve seen our sneaky Instagram stories (@medcouture) over the last few days, you might have noticed that Med Couture has been working on a secret project. Well, we’re ready to let that secret out! Med Couture is based in Dallas, and not only is it one of the fastest growing cities in the south, but it is also a massive fashion and retail hub. At Med Couture, we always want to improve where we can and we thought the best way to do that is to tap into the young creative minds of up and coming fashion designers right in our own city!
We have partnered with El Centro College’s Fashion Design department and Michael’s craft store to host a new scrub design contest for the out of this world talented students. This project will run over a 3-month period, and will end with amazing scholarships for the first and second place winners!
The students are paired with Julie Schragin, the designer at Med Couture, who will be guiding them through this entire process. They will submit sketches, make samples, and make the final product to showcase for Med Couture at the end of the contest.
All of the students were given a gift bag filled with goodies from Michael’s, and were taken on a tour of the Med Couture facility to really get an understanding into what goes into making scrubs and all of the input that goes behind it.
The future is exciting over here at Med Couture, and it is because of your loyalty to our company that we are able to do programs like this. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to see these students use their own creativity and passion to make something that we are so passionate about as well.
